Hi, I’m Leah! I’m a full-time mom with a passion for writing. I love experimenting in the kitchen (mostly with cupcakes), vegging out with a good book (mostly YA), and begging my daughter to participate in tummy time (mostly a mess).
In 2015, the last thing on my mind was babies. So I was more than a little surprised when the strip turned pink just five months after saying “I do.” I quickly fell head over heels for the life growing inside me, but at eleven weeks, I lost my baby. Five months later found me pregnant again, and six weeks after that, empty once more. Add in a year and a half of inexplicable infertility and you can see why a girl might start to lose hope. But just one week before beginning fertility treatment, God granted me a rainbow.
While I spent two and a half years reading up on pregnancy, it took me until three centimeters to start reading up on parenting. The smallest baby I ever held before Lottie was five months old. Let me tell you, that baby was a heck of a lot bigger than my six pound, eight ounce newborn. My beautiful Lottie has been gifted with what can only be described as a novice mom. We’re braving our way one swaddle at a time. Join us on our journey!
